One of the last floats that I worked on when I was with Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade studio was for Animal Planet. We tossed out piles of ideas from charging stampedes to animal jamborees. I honestly cant remember how many sketches I produced. These are a handful that I managed to save from the "circular file". Of all the sketches in this blog, 3 pieces were produced, the pig, the elephant with the globe and the ostrich, though the ostrich ended up with a cat on it's back rather than the chimp (pity). The most interesting piece that I got to design for the float was a giant crocodile, you'll find the model for that in my sculpture blog.Animal Planet drawings
